Sinking Line for a 10 wt

Hi I currently have a Scott HeliPly 9’10 wt and a Sage RPLXi 9’10wt and need a sinking line for use in the salt (RI) and would appreciate any suggestions you might have for these rods. Thanks Dave

I use Jim Teeny’s TS series fly line it comes in all grains from 150-950. It has worked well for me. It also casts really easy I can cast about 25 yards with it.I hope that helped.

trout, bass, sea bass i dont care its fishing. <><

SA Wet Tip Express Saltwater 375 or 475 would also work well on your 10wts.

I use a 30 foot shooting head made from Cortland LC-13 on my 10 wt’s for most sinking applications, looped to an intermediat shooting line. I also use 12wt shooting heads of different densities if I wan’t something that doesn’t sink as fast as the leadcore head. This setup allows more versatility from one spool since I can change heads.

Other wise any integrated head from 350 to 450 grains or so should work well. Check out lines from Teeny, Airflo, Rio, Scientific Anglers, Orvis, and Cortland. Most people find 27 to 35 foot sinking heads the most comfortable to handle.
