so i had a thought, single feather flies… just hook, thread, feather… you dont see many of them around here, so i challenge all of u to post your best single feather flies…
to get things started, i spun these 2 up, both took me less then 2 minutes a piece.
[b]There is a type of wet fly, over a hundred years old, called the Glanrhos, which uses only one feather and the tying thread.

These are my first two flies attempted:-

[b]No 1 was a simple dressing with what was surplus on my bench.
Hook: No 12 Varivas.
Silk: Hot Orange Pearsall.
Wing & Hackle: A brownish hen hackle.

[b]No 2 had a bit more aforethought, tending towards a March Brown.
Hook: No 12 Varivas.

Wing & Hackle: Brown Hen with broad tip
