This one’s for Steve (stabgnid). Dry version of the Skip Nymph. Bare bones March Brown here; make it as complicated as you like.

hook - Dai Riki 300 #14
thread - Danville 6/0 brown
tail/shellback - pheasant tail
rib - tying thread (doubled)
body - dubbing tan
hackle - grizzly dyed brown

mash barb, start thread, double up tag end and wrap to bend

dub thread/dub body to 2/3 mark

measure some pheasant tail fibers (extend shank length behind the butt); tie in at front of body

pull pheasant down on top of body, spiral rib forward; tie off/trim

tie in hackle and wrap; tie off, half hitch x 2, SHHAN

trim hackle out on underside (or not)

Hi Scott. I like this for sure. I think all of your SBS’s should be put into one link. You post so many and they are really helpful. It might be nice to just go to one place and find all of them.
