Pretty basic; as clean as it will ever be (can’t remember the last time I saw the bottom of the waste basket).

What’s your setup look like?

Scott

Here’s what I’m working with as a tying area and materials storage. I hope someday soon to get out of the basement and into better light as soon as the last of my kids are moved out.

The other end of the bench serves as a reloading area.
Here is mine, it is a re-purposed TV armoire. The cabinets on either side hold materials:

Here is my tying desk. Purpose built for tying. Made from walnut with popular as secondary woods. The walnut was gathered by my father and I over about a 20 year period. These pictures are the desk before the drawer pulls were installed.
A close up with the drawer pulls installed. They are made from deer antler.
Steve,
I don’t see a vise - is it integrated into that scanning electron microscope? If so, tying #32’s would be a breeze.
Regards,
Scott
Steve doesn’t actually tye himself, he has built a robot that does that for him. The microscope is for QC.
Here’s a photo of my tying desk which I sort of put together from a roll-top desk top that I picked up at a local Goodwill store and an old banker’s desk I got off of Craig’s list. It’s all solid oak and weighs about 250 pounds. This is an older photo so I’m afraid that it is not quite that neat right now.
The second photo shows the pull-out work platform that I installed for building fly rods etc.

Lol not what I expected Byron
Well although I cannot get up a picture of my work area on this site, I can surely see from all the great shots here that we all have one thing in common…we are all addicted to material inventory.
I’m going to show these pics to my wife! She always gets on my case about needing this and that and says I already have enough STUFF.
Only after viewing these, perhaps she might understand my addiction to collecting materials…HA!
Mr. Potts wins! LOL!

My little corner of the world. To my right and behind me are book shelves filled with more highly necessary crap. ![]()
The vice is in the picture, a regal
Just as long as you have bottles of “Hard as Nails”, Head Cement and thinner, all is well. LOL!
Yessir…and if you look close, both bottles are on the right. But I never use thinner. ![]()
