Shore Huggers

“We have had some rain, so the water level is finally up in the ponds. The water is also a little colored. I could see a white fly down about four feet in the water. Most of the time you can see down eight feet in this pond.”
Rick,
Are you SURE you were not at Kitty’s pond with us this weekend? We were able to see it go from “deep enough to be barely visible white clousers” on Saturday to “top-water “frogs” around the edges” on Sunday.

Sounds like you and Joe had a grand day recently.

Positive, but would like to some time.

Rick

I know about those shore huggers. Had some of those last time I was out. I would cast (bounce) the fly off of some cypress knees down into the water along the edge of the shore and those bream were just waiting there at the base of them to gobble up bugs that fall off those cypress knees. I got some 9 inch plus size bream doing that along a canal.
