OK, so I went to Three Wal-Marts in Houston and Bryan (where I live, 1 1/2 hours from Houston). No boxes to be found. I asked at my local W to see if they could order them, they said they could not???
So, I could still use a few if anyone would like to help me out.
Jim and all, thanks for the tips - I like foam, no compartments, but surely I can find some that will take some foam and hold some flies — and I seriously need more boxes. Right now I have two large plano boxes full of flies and several smaller boxes.
Just got home from Wal-$$rt. I found and bought six of the little beasties. I’ve already lost one to the wife, who needs it much worse than I do. You may need to search around a bit to find them, they’re fairly small, so think small. Also think pink, blue, and green, which are the colors that were available. Some of the snap closures work better than others, so check a few out before you buy. Thanks for the tip, JH.

This info may help those looking for these boxes. Manufactured by ‘Bottlecrew’ - called a ‘5 compartment travel case’ -SKU# 6-83333-21319-6. I would think the store could look them up on their computer.
I was able to locate them at my WalMart on the north side of Austin.
They were near the pharmacy, in those baskets with the ‘travel’ stuff - containers for soap, etc. They had them in Green, Blue, Pink, and then each of those colors with silver glitter mixed in.
I bought 3 green and 2 blue (without the glitter). Not sure what I’m gonna put in them yet, but I have 'em.
Brian, if you can’t find any locally, send me am email and I’ll send a few your way.
Jim Hatch, how many shares of Bottle Crew do you have in your portfolio?
I use these almost exclusively. The rounded corners make them very comfortable in a shirt pocket.
Depending on my mood, I may fill one with surface and subsurface flies for a single targeted species, or carry two different ones for surface and subsurface. Two will fit into a single pocket.
