I received a rod from England two weeks ago and asked that it be sent Royal Mail. I am sure the mail system has reciprocal arrangements with mail systems in other countries. My package was here in a week at the local Canada Post office and I presume yours would arrive either at your doorstep or your local US Postal outlet.
What rod are you considering? My purchase was a Flextec.
I also was going to suggest Royal Mail, but I haven’t shipped from England in 20 years and things could have changed. 20 Years ago they were fantastic.

it’s much simpler to ship internationally by mail. it does get there. it is best to arm the package with as much good packing as possible, and then insure the bejeezuz out of it. then send it as fast as possible. not cheap, but neither is what is left of DHL, FedEx, and UPS. there are also a lot more post offices than depots for those other guys.
stay tuned for a few postings of horror stories…but i will still always use the mail!
Thanks for the info - will check out Royal Mail. Greg H. - am shipping over a 7 weight bamboo rod of Scottish manufacture.
Thanks again all,
Paul
