Good to hear Grubb, better than I did!
Let it go and let it grow.
Grubb and SheTies,
Don’t know what you did, but it sounds like you did it well!!
What I do know, is the little blue man in the bottom corner of SheTies thread scares the beegeebers out of me!

Trouts don’t live in ugly places
Betty there is a quiz in this week lighterside, I am sure you will get a kick out of it.
Sorry about the sign, it’s intention is to raise awareness. It’s dynamic and will have some different sayings and critters depending on when it is viewed.
Dang, does this mean I am old? Nahh,I’m just smarter…lol
Folks do the quiz, it’s fun…
We need some fun,

Wow, pretty cool quiz. I got 11 of em right.
If flyfishing were a sin, I’de be the devil’s right hand man.
Got all but one (Freddy) but I got all 3 “The Day the Music Died”
Don
It just proved how old I am. I got them all. Here’s a few questions to see if you’re as old as I am:
Who plunked his “Magic Twanger”?
What was the name of Captain Midnight’s club and who sponsored the program?
Was Lash Larue a stripper, cowboy, or a French comedian?
How did Walter Winchel help you make money at the end of his show?
Shucks, Dad Burn it, and Dag Nab It. I got them all right but one. I missed the name of my favorite Red Skelton character. I got the first name right but missed the nickname. I guess when you are 57, you should remember all the answers. Unless they are something you’ve forgotten. I even remember the original Mickey Mouse Club TV show. With Spin and Marty, Old Man Applegate and some of the others.
Thanks Sheties.
Lotech Joe
Lotech,
I feel your pain. I got 14-1/2 right. Missed the Red Skelton character too.
However, and this only adds to the misery of knowing the answers: 2 of the answers given are incomplete.
#3 - You get your kicks ‘On’ Route 66
#13 - Richie Valens, the Big Bopper & Buddy Holly all died in that plane crash on February 3, 1958. Pretty sure that’s the date.
Allan
Met Red a couple of times. Got to do a pantomime for him (kinda like me teaching Lefty how to fish).
Okay, for extra credit: what were Red’s seagull characters named?
Frank Reid
(by the way, got 'em all. I must be old)

Right Alan,
Whalen Jennings would have been one who was lost, but he gave his seat to Richie.
Lotech Joe
Close, but no cigar.
Frank Reid
Gott’um all but Freddie the Freeloader. It was on the tip of my tongue but I just could get a hold of the name. 8T
You had better learn to be a happy camper. You only get one try at this campground and it’s a real short camping season.
I’m only 25 and I got 14 and a half. I (shamefully) missed number 1 (since I’ve seen the Lone Ranger on numerous occasions).
I also missed the first half of the Red Skelton question, though I got lucky on the second half.
Edit: I also knew all three people for number 13.

1-I got all but “The Day The Music Died”
lou t…
Magic Twanger…Froggie
Captain Midnight…not sure…Air Patrol?
Lash Larue…cowboy with a bullwhip.
Oops!..didn’t see the last one, but didn’t he say…“…and you can take that to the bank.”?

Frank… wasn’t it Heathcliff and Gertrude?

There is no greater fan of flyfishing than the worm.
Patrick McManus
I was lucky enough to get them all right. I’m 66, so I lived through all that stuff, plus I have a good memory for meaningless facts. I did start to put down Klem Kadiddlehopper (sp.) instead of Freddie, but my usless information sense kicked in and gave me the right answer.
Bob
There is a fine line between fly fishing, and standing in the water waving a stick.
