She was a good ol' hoss.

Unofficial end to the fly-fishing season.

Bummer! Car door?

Looked like I had been fishing with a hairline fracture for a while. A little too much pressure taking it out of the trunk and click… no more tip.

Been that, done there.

Well…a savvy angler might try to do some sort of repair. I’m not that savvy… I wonder if you could at least still cast with it if you put a tip eyelet on the end?
Got a birthday coming up? Anniversary? Belated Father’s Day? It isn’t well publicized, unfortunately, but (in case your wife is reading this) tomorrow is national “Buy Your Husband A New Fly Rod Day”.

Assuming there is no warranty to apply to the situation, first I would check with Kevin and/or Steve for suggestions or some other professional rod building / service center. If no one was available my first choice would be a piece of titanium wire of the correct size about 4" long and some epoxy. Spring steel wire would be my second choice. My brother in law has been fishing with a St. Croix ultralight spinning rod with a 4d finishing nail in it since the mid 70’s.
