Shark flies

The good thing is that San Diego is just around the corner, one of these days I’m going to request my vacations and head over there.
Thanks a lot Tailingloop and everybody else for your help.

yeah thats true…my water is shallow, maybe 5ft at the deepest…really dont need to lift as much as just hang on for the ride…I get out of the canoe to stand on land after the fish begins to tire to land it safely…I must point out that it is very tiring and I stopped doing it because of all the work it takes but if you are willing it sure is a hell of a fight

You only need to go to heavier backing if you are going to a 30lb or heavier leader. You always want you leader to be the weakest link in your rig.

bonefishwhisperer, the shallow water stuff is a lot more fun. That was a very nice shark by the way.

How do you land one of those things? If I ever catch one I hope I don’t react out of custom and try to thumb it like a bass! LOL.
