What do I attach to hold the foam body to to shape it with a dremel tool? Also, how do I attach it to the dremel?
Thanks,
Bruce
Nice article
[SIZE=2]The best thing I have found is a variable chuck for my Dremel and a sraightened small L-hook. about 1/16 in. diameter. Thread the cylinder on to the thread and use an embry board or sandpaper. With the variable chuck you can also hold an needle and slide a cylinder onto it.

I miss Jim’s contribution to the board. Hope he is well.
I have submitted a very long detailed article on “carving” foam with a dremel (which is the other way to shape foam).
FAOL may have it up next issue or the one after that.
I just use a twin sewing machine needle chucked in my variable speed dremel tool. Under $5 at most sewing shops… Try to find the ones that are all metal, the plastic ones can explode if you spin them too fas or get too lopsided.

I bought a pack of upholstery needles and a chuck to fit them. I chucked one in my dremel and it works great. More toys to play with and flies to tie. What could be better. Thanks for all of your help.
Kengore, those twin sewing machine needles look even better. I didn’t know they even existed until now. I’m going to check them out.
There’s also this…
