I have on old 1094 click-pawl reel. I am assuming these are set for right hand retrieve because it easier to reel in the right hand retrieve direction. So you guys know if there is anyway to make it left hand…Or does it even matter? I mean will I mess up the reel if I put the line on the other way and use it? not too many moving parts.

Do you have a picture of the back?

Looking at the internals, it seems pulling that little spring out and having it go the other way would work.

but nothing is there…no drag, no screws…nuttin.

I tried reversing the little spring as you said…but that did not change anything
