Am leaving Monday for Missoula, and seven days on seven rivers tour. Beaverhead gave up a 20" 5#er to my nephew over Labor day weekend. Hope it continues.

well fished only five of the seven rivers I had in mind. Weather was great for fishing, mostly cloudy every day, lite rain, warm. Did not catch a ton of fish, the ones I did land were all larger than last year. Avg size was around 12 t o14 inches. Did land a 17 inch cutty, and the the big fish of the trip wa a 19 inch rainbow on a #20 trico! Also caught several nice browns on steelhead streamers. All in all another great trip, looking forward to possibly two trips next year, one in March for stones, and again in Sept.
Glad you had a good trip tealswatr, 5 of 7 ain’t bad either and 19 incher…there you go and on a #20 trico to boot. Sounds like conditions were perfect for trout fishing on the fly. Any pix?
