Setting Up Your Profile

Your profile is how other members get to know you. Here’s how to set it up.

Find Your Profile

Click your profile picture (or colored letter) in the top-right corner, then click your username or the person icon to go to your profile page.

Edit Your Profile

Click Preferences in the profile navigation, then the Profile tab. Here you can add:

  • Profile Picture — Upload a photo of yourself, your favorite fly, your dog at the river — whatever represents you. Click the pencil icon next to the letter avatar to upload.
  • About Me — A short bio. Where you fish, how long you’ve been at it, what you’re into. This shows up when people click your name.
  • Location — Your general area (state, region, or nearest river — whatever you’re comfortable sharing).

Why Bother?

When you post a reply or share a pattern, people can click your name to learn about you. A filled-out profile makes the community feel more like a group of friends and less like anonymous strangers on the internet.

You don’t have to share anything you’re not comfortable with. Even just a location and a line or two about your fishing interests goes a long way.
