hook - Dai Riki 300 #12
thread - UTC 140 black
tail/body - deer hair
hackle - grizzly/brown
Mash barb, start thread; cover shank to bend and return to 2/3 mark
Clean, stack, measure (shank length) a clump of deer hair; trim butts, tie in, allowing hair to surround the shank
Spiral thread to bend; one tight wrap to flair the ends and return to tie-in
Tie in hackles
Wrap hackles, tie off/trim, half hitch x 2, SHHAN
