ok purple bugger reciepe as follows
head - bead
thread - purple
tail - purple marabou
body- purple chenile
hackle - blue dun palmered
throut - purple thread
Mine sounds a lot like the Purple Bugger already tied.
Hook- size 10 mustad
Thread- black floss ( I was out of uni thread)
Body- Purple chenile
Tail- Purplr marabou
Hackle-Dark purple
Wire- red counter wrapped
Flash- burgundy flashabou

Hook: Orvis 1524 size 10
Thread: 3/0 Red Uni-Thread
Tail: Red marabou with rainbow Krystal Flash
Rib: Silver wire – fine
Body: Black medium chenille
Hackle: Dun hen cape
here is a picture of the fly I am tying for this swap… I have used bigger hackle than some would but I like the way the flies move in the water with it this size.

My flies are done and I’ll mail out tomorrow or Monday. My fly is a Chartreuse Sparkle Bugger.
Pattern: Chartreuse Sparkle Bugger
hook : sz. 12 Daiichi 2220 streamer hook 4X long
thread: chartreuse UNI 6/0
bead : crystal sparkle
body : ice chenille small chartreuse
tail : chartreuse marabou with crystal flashabou
hackle: chartreuse feather
This was a nice fly to tie and I enjoyed myself.

I sent flies out last Friday. They’re a mixture of couple colors because I was on a roll tying and ran out of one flash so I switched chenille and flash. Couple extra for swapmaster!

Eyes: black plastic bead chain
Tail: white marabou with black and silver Krystal flash and red Christmas tinsel
Hackle: Grizzly or Grizzly variant, palmered from tail
Body: fine white chenille
It’s been a productive fly for me, taking trout, bass, and panfish. I’ve fished it in sizes 8 to 12 so far.
There are a few extras of them in the box as a thanks to the swap meister. Looking forward to seeing the other ties.
