Scofield

[b]The weekend was unseasonably warm so we sent camping. Got to the Lake Friday morning, set up camp and hit the water.
Fished the south/east bay from our toons for about 5 hours. Fishing was a little slow. I had probably 30 hits with landing about 6 very healthy fatties. A stiffer tip rod might have been a better choice with the fish this day.

Saturday, went to the same spot (against my choice, but what the heck). Pretty much the same results, except we found some friends over there.

Sat. Evening I went to the bay right in front of the camp (the boat launch area, plus the dam fairly close)
Threw out some streamers with floating line and BAMB was getting into some nice bows.
So, Sunday morning, I got up, ate a banana, had a cup of coffee, and headed back down to the shore.
I fished a Hopper with either a #18 Red Copper John or a bead head Prince. Caught more fish in those few hours from shore than the other two days on the water in my toon. Wahoo!

All fish were returned

Please stop!! The pain is almost unbearable!! :?
I don’t know if I’ve been this jealous in long time. The last time I was at Scofield in the toon was 2 years back and got into some bows just like those in pics. It was right after ice-off in March and a halloween bugger in size 6 was killing em! Although the pictures are bitter-sweet to me, thanks for sharing and well done! Scofield can be a tough cookie to crack sometimes.

Those are some pretty bows, thanks for sharing

What ???
No kabobs?
What about the rainbow croutons? :?
Seriously , excellent catch . Great photos too.
Listening to Josef Hoffman at Carnegie and wishing I was there with you guys to see how its done.8)
