Sawada's Ta-ba-s-co SBS

Could also be called the LSD Royal Dutch Coachman Trude, I guess. Makes the Love’s Lure, Doudy’s Gunnison Stimi and the Gunnison River Trude look like Catskill dries.

Scott,

Another gorgeous tie. For working with peacock sword feathers, I use a tip from Davie McPhail to keep them all aligned: snip off a piece of the feathers with the fibers still on it and trim it AFTER you have tied down the fibers. This keeps them all lined up and curving the same way.

Alberto

Alberto,

That’s a great tip; I’ve used it in the past but my peacock sword supply is bare bones right now and I had to bunch stragglers together to make the wing on this fly. Once I get some more sword feathers it’ll be back to Davie’s way.

Scott
