hey all,
Heading to these places march break…just wondering if anyone has any tips on where to go on these places for snook and redfish. Trout would be nice too. I would also like to know some good flies to tie. I promise I will release all fish.
What # test leader should I be using?? Flourocarbon??

Mike, you can wade the Ding Darling area at Sanibel, and Bunch Beach in Ft. Myers, just before the causeway to Captiva/Sanibel.
8wt with floating line. Clousers in chart./white, all-gold, copper body with gold flash, shrimp patterns. Check the Photo Gallery on my website for photos. The other dropdown on my site has the New Pattern Recipes and tying instructions.
I’ll be adding more fiber-body patterns now that the weather will be warming and the snook and reds move into their normal habitat.

You get near Anna Maria call me and we can steer you in the right direction.
Send me an e-mail for the info. I live 20 minutes from Anna Maria if traffic is light. I can send you to some terrific places. I would advise you to try some night fishing while on this coast. Bring heavy equipment, you will be chasing big fish at night.
