I was on the Hook yesterday ,fished my favorite spot in the morning.
Throwing metal first just to see what was around.
A few hits close to the beach( small Blues).
Back to the car and got out my long stick,BLUES a steady pick all morning.
Wife and I went to North Beach to have lunch, she went shell picking.
I walked to the point ,the blues were in the cove and on the point all afternoon
till we left at 7pm. Some good solid 10 pounders!!
The were all over bright green/white clousers , 5" bunker patterns!!
Can’t nobody say a day playing with 20 blue fish isn’t fun.
Have to rest up , so I can do the Pa. Fishin.
Wetfly, sounds like you had a great day. I was south of you for the weekend around AC, and couldn’t hookup with the flyrod. Did catch a few stripers on the spinning gear. If you don’t mind my asking, what kind of rod, line, leader, and stripping basket do you use. I had trouble with a new intermediate line and my casting went south. I should have practiced with the new line first. In the past I was using shooting heads but got tired of the hinging effect and tried a full length clear intermediate and I couldn’t get it past 50 ft. I would appreciate any tips or help or criticism you are comfortable giving.
