I am considering buying this rod off e-bay. I have a 590-4 xp and it is my favorite casting rod, I am wondering if anyone has this rod and if I can get a short review?

I have 3 XP’s – 4,5,6 wts. but no 3 wt.
My favorite is the 5 wt.
I you like your 5 wt. why would you have reservations about the 8’6" 3 wt. ??? I would say go for it if you like XP type action.
I don’t know about the 8’6" 3wt, but the 9’ 3wt XP is flat out awesome. I cant see six inches making that much of a difference ;). I’d recommend a 4wt line… I think you’ll be amazed.
My buddy just bought one and he loves it. He’s a self professed “Sage Guy” and loves the rod. I’m going to get a chance to throw it a bit next week and am looking forward to giving it a shot. I personally don’t want that fast a rod for my 3 wt. but it depends on what you’re looking for in it and what you’re going to use it for.
