Sage VT2 review--6 wt

After casting & also catching a decent 6-7 lb steelhead yesterday, here are my views…

  1. The VT2 6 wt does a good job of punching a cast into a stiff wind.
  2. Roll casts VERY well.
  3. Very sensitive yet powerful…totally under control with that steelie.
  4. Great looking rod.

This is my 1st Sage, but it certainly won’t be my last. I own 2 St Croix Legend Ultras (both the old style-2 yrs old) & a Scott SAS, & this Sage stands alone…I am not good enough to explain the difference, but any who come to the Michigan Fish-In 2006 will be welcome to experience it. Folks, this is a FANTASTIC rod!

Thanks for the review Ohiotuber very thoughtful and thorough. Sounds like one sweet rod! In my opinion Sage should add you to it’s pro staff!
