Sage RPL 390-2

Opinions? I have 2 other RPL’s; a 590-2 and a 790-2 that absolutely fit my casting/fishing style. I have a line on a 390 RPL, and this is the first time I ever remember seeing one of this model up for sale. I’m thinking it must be one sweet spring creek/tailwater rod. Alot of people willing to trade 389 LL cause they fetch a better dollar. I am very familiar with the SLT 389, and wish I hadn’t sold mine. Just wondering about the action and general fishing charactoristics of this rod in particular. Appreciate comments/opinions of folks who own and fish one. Winter midgin’ is round the corner!

I’ve got one appalachian angler and i love it. For a while i used it as much/more than my RPL 490-2. It’s not as forgiving as my LL 390-2 but it will reach out further with the same line. In hand it seems eyebrow raisingly lite and when i have my Lamson L1 attached, it floats. I know because i fell into the Pit River and it got away from me…when i surfaced, there it was, floating just where i managed to let go of it. Hope this helps…any questions, shoot me a pm…again, i love my RPL 390-2 !

Cheers,
