Rylee's Pullover Caddis SBS

A few minor tweaks to Lucas Langton’s very cool variation on the Neversink Caddis, a fly that always looked a bit clunky to me. Lots of hackle for rough stuff, but no trimming needed for flatwater conditions.

hook - Dai Riki 320 #12
thread - UTC 140 tan
post/head - 2mm foam tan
hackle - ginger grizzly
underbody - medium tinsel opal
body - Midge Tubing clear
thorax - dubbing tan
wing - deer hair

Part 1

taper foam strip; tie in, hook onto the gallows

tie in hackle at base; wrap up and down post, tie off/trim

tie in tubing

move to 2/3 mark, tie in tinsel; wrap underbody, tie off/trim

Part 2

stroke hackle fibers back, pull foam forward; tie down

dub thread/dub thorax

clean, stack, measure (tips to bend) a clump of deer hair; trim/tie in
