Got out for panfish for the first time this year yesterday. I fished a size 16 beadhead pheasnt tail nymph. I caught a couple of minnows smaller than a size ten nymph, a fifteen inch bass and enough keeper sunfish for dinner. The fly choice was based on grabbing the wrong box but it worked out well.
PTN and Hares ears are what I start the year with. NO attractors until the water warms.
