underbody - non-tox .025
thread - Danville 6/0 red
tail - golden pheasant tippet
rib - Flashabou/x-small wire red
abdomen - peacock herl
wingcase - goose quill segment
thorax - peacock herl
hackle - indian hen
bead - 3.2mm gold

Part 1

mash barb, slide the bead on; wrap front 1/3 of shank with non-tox, jam it inside back of bead

start thread; tie in rib(s); wrap to point above barb

measure (gap width past bend) some GP fibers; tie in/trim

tie in some peacock; wrap to 2/3 mark; tie off but don’t trim

counterwrap Flashabou; tie off/trim

repeat with wire

Part 2

measure (gap) goose quill segment; tie in by tip

wrap thorax; tie off/trim

prep hen, tie in by tip; wrap, tie off/trim

stroke hackle down from the top; cover with thread wraps

pull wingcase forward; tie down

trim wingcase, whip finish, SHHAN
