HI! NEW GUY ON THE BLOCK. I WANT TO MOUNT SOME SMALL FLIES SIZE 18 - 20 IN A SHADOW BOX. I CANNOT FIND A SMALL DIAMETER ACRYLIC ROD. I HAVE 1/16" CLEAR ROD FROM PLASTRUCT. THEY DO NOT MAKE A SMALLER DIAMETER. I HATE TO SAY 1/32"? DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY SUGGESTIONS. THANKS
I use a very stiff grade monofilament. Cant recall the test, but very short pieces do very well and its fairly easy to work with(and cheap). Lateley I have been hand stitch mounting my Salmon flies with fine silk with great success. I am loving the way that looks

I have rods that have worked well for me, however they may be the same size as you already have. The ones I have are 1/16 OD and around 3/8 inch long. The ID is just about the right size for a loop of mono to hold the flies. If you are interested PM me your mailing address and I’ll send you some for free.
