Thank you Leo for the excellent heads up on the Hatch site. Pictures truly are worth a thousand words, I have made about 4 rods since I was a young man. A 10 foot sturgeon rod to fish from the banks of the Columbia River in Oregon. A Harnel (early graphite) 9 ft. Steelhead rod with casting guides and a early Lamiglass and and a rebuild on a Phillipson glass rod. As you know I am rebuilding the H-I and I can only say, times change and methods change. I believe for the better. What is your opinion of the single foot guide? I can’t picture them on a bamboo rod. I want to order guides, black snake and tip. Also a nice black agate stripper. I went on the sponser page, REC didn’t seem to offer what I am looking for.
Again, thank you for the fine info. Jonezee

Thanks Leo,

I seem to be falling right in behind Jonezee. I think we are working on the same rod (manufacture). Thanks for the sites. They help greatly.

Thanks

Hey Guys-Dont be afraid to use sf guides on bamboo.I redid several for some guys and they love them.Remember.if the old masters had them available at the time what do you think they would have used?
