I finally got around to making a rod rack. It is adaptable for our dingy , shop wall or the old truck bed…
Nice match to the truck. Won’t it slide forward with a sudden stop?
Easy pull out brass pins hold it in place…
Very cool Steve!
What do you about thievery issues?
Hey Steve,
“what do you do about thievery issues?”… Show im your GUN Steve
Mark
Love your finishing rack Steve, I’ll be looking for one now. Lets see the rest of the truck.
, my inspiration for the truck,
All I can say is, Wow!
Sweet Binder Steve! I love the flag mounts, If you dont mind, I’ll copy that idea. Luke
Actually the flag mount was way over designed, I ended up changing to a simpler setup…
The old binder sports red white and blue under the hood too…
Sweet all the way around Steve! Nice work buddy!
Very nice handywork there Steve. That truck of yours is ever so purdy. A real gem you got there.
Thank you all…

[li]–> The most interesting thing happened to me today… I was putting the finishing touches on the rod rack, and like usual all during this project I kept having to tell myself to KISS, [/li]
Several times I was tempted to embellish some due-dad and each time I KISSED the thought off,
so this morning as I am firming up two small brass phillip retainer screws. I drop the screwdriver on the shop floor, I pick it up and it doesn’t feel right in my hand so I look and notice the small brass embellishment of it’s handle came loose and fell off on the floor,
I look around and find it laying on the floor. This small brass oval is inscribed with the word Heritage , the name of the tool company making the driver,
This small brass tag is a perfect fit and just the right touch for the rod rack , fits perfect in the center of heart wood rod holder,

I could not of made this up… Goodness Happens…
Steve, Arrive In STYLE. In that truck you most surely will. Enjoy it and the fishing, take care, John.
What I really love about the truck is driving up to cast at the park and being swamped with kids and learning a thing or two about patience,
kids are the best instructors on patience and in the process I get um hooked on fun!
Its all about young happy hearts…
Steve,
I love your truck and I love your rod rack. Very cool. But you know me, I have to ask, what are those funny looking rods on the right in the very first picture?
hNt
Them there rods are from my dads collection , one was my fist, a black steel collapsible rod,
I really like the old school bobber rods, fish one and your hooked…
I am packed and ready
Heading to West Yellowstone in August they have a neat car and truck show in town every year, anyone else been?
Building fly rods for myself and friends… special rods… just a thought…
hummmm…
