I and considering a new line for my Avid 7wt. Rio Streamer Tip. From what I read it’s one of the density compensated sinking tip lines with clouser taper. I would like to start using some bigger flies on that rod and this line might let me do it.
Does anyone here own it and can tell me how they like it?
I’ve got the regular Rio Clouser floating line for my 7wt. It’s great for throwing big wind resistant flies, but is about “normal” when trying to throw heavy wind resistant flies.
that is the best one i think it has loops on end and its for heavy hooks can’t beat it i would have if dealer kept his price right when i went to pick it up some how he tried to get me to spend 10 bucks more than his price on shelf. its left there on shelf.
I put a Rio Coldwater Clouser line on an 8-weight and I love it. I can recommend it wholeheartedly. With the right leader, I think that it could turn over any fly that I have and probably small rocks and logs. 8)
