perhaps everyone could tie up an extra fly so that the host could send a set to the inspiration for this swap, rick z.
just seems like the right thing to do to me at least.

Good idea Mikey, but I believe theres already an extra set there as long as we don’t need to get one of our own flys back in the set. I certainly don’t need one of my own back. that leaves nine to the other nine members in the swap with an extra to send to Rick. And I am definitely open to criticism for all on my flys. Nothing like friendly suggestions and discussions to help better the sport of tying.
Remember to take a kid fishing.

LOL, So no matter how ugly or poorly tyed a fly is, there’s “just got to be” a fish somewhere that will like it. I think thats why gills were put here. Them little suckers will eat anything.

these are done. I tied up a dozen this evening. I took a little liberty w/ the pattern adding a copper rib and a couple strands of kf to the wing which I substituted mallard flank dyed woodduck.
I should have them in tomorrow’s mail. I really enjoyed tying these flies

Actually if we didn’t “vary” from the pattern we wouldn’t be tying in the spirit of our warm water masters. Vary your little hearts out! I did. JGW

Reminds me of my youngest, who from the time he was old enough to talk and sit in a car seat behind the driver the would have his chin on my shoulder talking. From Minnesota to Missouri and back. Question after question. Though he never did ask, when are we going to get there? Didn’t do much whining, either. He could sure ask a lot of questions, though.
