Richard Taylor, Readers Cast

Dick brought back some fond memories. I too remember the Ice Man and the little sign in the window to tell him how much. They collected the ice out on Lake Erie, back then it was a very clean lake!
My granddad and grandma would spend a couple of weeks every summer in Alpena, MI fishing for perch and I would get to go along for a few days.
Had some great summers then!!

I feel more like I do now than I did when I got here!

Cactus AKA “Lucky Dog (Pirate Name)”

Glad you enjoyed the story Jack. Have to be in the “Old Geezer” club to remember the actual delivery of ice in that fashion. My grandma liked frog legs; so, gramps used to go out every now and then and “fly fish” her up a mess. Wish I had that old metal fly rod of gramps. For those that have never tasted 'em; they taste a bit like chicken to me!
