For any of the duck hunters out there I have a request. The barred feather is the flank feather at the bottom of the foot on the male that has the black and white bands. I have collected the flank feathers off wood ducks for years and thrown away the barred feather since I had no use for it. Now that I tie Salmon flies, I need the barred feather but won’t be able to duck hunt very much this year. Any that you could send to me would be most appreciated. Contact me for my mailing address and I will also gladly pay shipping for anyone that has any luck with the little quackers.
