Renzetti vise and fishpond fly tying bag

I have a LNIB Renzetti presentation 2000 vise that I would like to sell. I bought the vise in 2008 tied a couple flies with it and put it away. Truth is I haven’t done much fishing since then and I really just would like to see it go to a good home. She wants to be put to good hard use like she was intended but I have been neglecting here since I bought it. It comes with the box, sticker, never filled out warrenty card, and the allen wrenches it came with. I would like to let this go for $180 shipped

Quick question on the vice - how well does it hold with larger diameter hooks? I have the older non-cam jaws and no matter how much I tighten it down, thicker hooks always slip. When tying on those hooks I have to go back to my $20.00 kit vise which somehow manages to hold bigger hooks more securely. How does the Renzetti cam vise model fare in this respect?

Thanks!

I think the lock up is solid. The jaw do a great job of holding all hooks. I just put a #2 salmon hook in the jaws and tugged on the eye of the hook, the hook shaft bent but no slippage at all. This vise is the Cadillac of all vises, I just never tie fiys anymore so its a waste to hold on to it. I would love to see this vise go to a avid fly fisher who is going to run it hard.

I own this same vise and tie flies that use hooks ranging from #18 to 2/0 and have never had a problem with slippage or incorrect hook placement. IMHO, this is definitely one of the most versatile tools I have had the pleasure of owning and using for tying all sorts of fly styles and sizes.

bump with lower price. Make me a offer folks!

That’s a heck of a price on a great vise! Almost wish I was in the market for one right now. Should go quickly!

I have one and love it.

I’ll take it. Just sent you pm & email. Thanks!

Great vise. I tied up to 6/0 muskies/saltwater on one and will hold it!

What about the Fishpond bag?

Sorry I sold that already and took the description out of the post. I guess I should have changed the topic to.

Thanks for looking
