Are there butts made that you can put on and take off as desired? Where do I find them? What do I measure when I order? Thanks for any and all info.
Yes several suppliers have them, I like the ones form REC pretty well. Theirs have a screw in fighting butt or cap, and are not really that expensive, available in a lot of different inserts and styles as well.
Not sure if this is what you are after, but I found some slip on foam fighting butts. They are basically a little cup shaped thing that slips on the butt of any rod to give it a larger “fighting butt”. They come in a pack of 3 or 4 and I heard were made or distributed by TFO. I saw one on the rod of a local guide.
