Recommend some topwater fly patterns for salt marsh

Tried some marsh fishing this weekend and saw plenty of bait and managed to catch some undersized fish on a spoon and a chenille pattern I tie. I was thinking that I may have had more success with a decent sized topwater fly.
Anyone have any good patterns for saltwater top action? I have some foam and plenty of other material to tie with just need some good patterns for topwater. Links to the pattern would be great if you don’t have the recipe on hand.
Thanks gang!

Gartside Gurgler. I have tied down to size 12 and up to size 6/0 using appropriate hooks.

A google search will turn up other tying links including Jack Gartside’s own instructions.

I’ll second the Gurgler! I had pretty good luck with one tied with crystal chenille, crystal flash for the tail, and blue foam. A floating crab fly might work pretty well too. I tie mine with blue foam on top, light brown on the bottom and glue the hook and legs between the two.

TT.

Thanks guys! I’ll be digging through my material tonight for my foam and rubber legs. I really like the look of the gurgler and I can already envision some variations I plan on making!
