I tied some of these Bead-head adams during the holidays when because of work I couldn’t find time to fish. Yesterday I had the opportunity to try them out. I must report that even though my tying is not as pretty as the original, I caught two rainbows on this fly on my first two casts. I was fishing my favorite river and had been catching fish in this one riffled run for about an hour. I had probably caught about 10 fish and suddenly they stopped. I went to change flies and spotted the Bead-head Adams and decided to give it a shot. The next two casts were met with eagar rainbows and a big smile from me. I caught two more before calling it a day and heading to a prior engagement with the wife. Thanks JC!
