Well I been out of pocket for a bit, down in S. Louisiana visiting Mom so I don’t know what anybody did but I’m glad it got undone. But I need Jim where I can find him cause sooner or later I’m going to find a good reason to get on top of the Rim again and want to share a water hole and probably a cup of coffee with him. There’s 3 or 4 folks up there using the same name. Law’s probably after them all.

Thanks everyone. Actually a bit of a stroke of good luck brought me back. I had some unfinished issues with some people…and could not communicate with them except FAOL PM. I did not have any addresses, phone number’s or public e-mails. I re-did my profile so I could communicate with them and finish business with them.
Found out I could do PM’s and that is all. I tried to post a new thread and site refused…said act disabled.
I had asked Denny to ban me and he with class said he saw no reason to. So I do not believe FAOL management blocked me at all. I think I did it to myself when I altered my profile. I changed my email to some smart alec thing and I think that disrupted my act. I re-did my profile just to finish business. But was on the phone with Charlaiine…and she made a post saying I wanted back, but was having difficulty. I then got an email saying I had to verify my new profile to activate my act. I did this and am apparently back on board…pun intended.
I wasn’t really going to re-up…but Charlaine happened to call me to talk. What prompted me to re-up was the timely posts by John Scott, Heritage Angler, and Betty…and can’t remember if others. It was 10 degrees here this morning, I don’t have a house heat stove, and have come down with a cold. Can’t remember anything anyway though huh?
But it was pure luck (for me) and timing that John and Betty and HA made friendly posts. THAT is what prompted me to return. Pure luck and timing…well, and good people who chose to say something.
I consider it very good luck though…as I am glad to be back on board. I apologize sincerely for any emotional energy I created in people. I do not normally like to create negative thoughts and energy…I say normally…because sometime I do push buttons.
I think a little spice on the board is good for excitement. It comes ALIVE and has LIFE when turmoil is stirred up.
Again though I want to apologize for my behavior. I do not consider myself above everyone else. In fact the opposite. I understand a site has to have rules and all must follow the same rules and be treated equally. I was treated equally and fairly. Just ticked me off. I think the choice of words could have been a bit more diplomatic and less threatening…but what’s fair for one is fair for all.
I goofed up. I made a mistake. I paid for it. I am thankful that the FAOL site has been my crutch for the last few years. And I am thankful for those members as well as management for putting up with the likes of me all this time.
I am tired, cold, and have a cold. So I am going to try to copy this and repost it on a new thread. I just want to put on a gas mask and go get horizontal…!

Hey Jim, I remember you saying you had a CPAP - have you noticed that it helps to have it on when you have a cold? And I read that massive doses of Vitamin D boosts your immune system. Now that you’re back, we have to take care of you.

1st, “grow up and deal with it” is a very uncool thing to say about gem. It is a insult.
2nd) if you are at a diner, all the other people are strangers so you wouldnt do that. What if a group of people had a custom that every friday night at 7 they would meet at the diner. People would bring new rods, tell stories about how the fishing is, and one day “Maria calls Gemrod a baby”. He doesnt say anything, goes home, and decides he is sick of Marias rude behaviour. Should he not tell all his friends that they will not see him anymore at this gathering?
Hey, I happen to have sleep apnea, as well as day time sleepyness. I CANNOT SLEEP without a cpap. Around thanskgiving I had a cold for about 10 days. It makes things tough because your noise gets stuffed up and you have to breathe through your noise with the cpap.

I do wear a cpap that WAS set at 6. Think I just got it set right. Original one 3 years ago not helping me much. My AHI (apnea/hypopnea index = 52). So high no ent will operate. Stats say central and obstructive. Central meaning brain forgets to breathe, obstructive is excess meat in throat. I keep asking for oxygen and they say no, stats say I don’t need itl Meanwhile I continue to go down hill. This past year a new doc posted his shingle in town, “Lung, Pulmonary, and Critical Care”. I just walk right in and tell him my story. He he ordered new test and it came out 33. He set me up with a new machine and said I should be at “12”…not 6. My air pressure should be twice as high as it is set. Go got new machine set to 12 and doc also said I DO need oxygen and have a concentrator now. Meanwhile “I” noticed the report…said “0” central and all obstructive. I took that report to another ENT and pointed out no brain forgetting. (original report was that I was getting something less than 2 hours rest if I stayed in bed 10 hours) ALL obstructive
, would you please now operate and remove as much obstruction as you can? Discover my right nostril is mostly closed. Nose broken too many times. He operated and cleaned out the nose so both tunnels breathe air now, and he cut excess meat out of my throat…they call it a palate clip.
I am doing much better. Still not great…but improving. You don’t know how low you are till you start coming back.
You right about the cold. I have a nasal mask only. Must receive air pressure and oxygen through nose. I try to clean out my sinus’s before bedtime. But wake up in am with nasal congestion and not breathing well…and don’t know how long in the night it has been going on! But in my case…having a nasal cold does not work well with a cpap machine.
Sorry to ramble about myself. Just kinda thought story might be interesting to others out there how the cpap crap works. Sorta. I go back to doc for check up. I am very concerned about the innards of my THROAT. HE keeps talking about my NOSE!. He said…geeeze that nose was so tough to work on. That it was the hardest nose he has ever had to do…the meat all scarred and such. Very tough to work on. He said that nose had been broken so many times it was very hard to operate on. He smiled and said…you haven’t necessairly been a good little boy all your life, have you? Grin…that had to make me smile a tad.
Anywhooo…I am recovering. I got pretty low in energy and vitality. In fact had NONE. But think I am making progress with my situation now.

My statement was a bit harsh but I stand by the basic premise. Uncool? Perhaps. An insult? Hardly.
At some of the places I eat I may know over half the people there. I live in a small town. So to say if I am at a diner I am a stranger to all the other people is false. Yes, you are correct, I wouldn’t do that. I have respect for the owners and other patrons.
By the way I am glad Gemrod returned. Good for him and us all.
