This one is built with G.L Steelhead in mind. Blank is a Matte gray Rainshadow 10’ 7wt 2pc blank. I used brown burl/natural.Copano/Rubberized/craft foam for the grip and matching butt. Hardware is Nickle Silver BUL5, insert is York Gum from Rob at “The Burl Source”, silver guides, garnet wraps with silver trim and base layer of black thread under the inscription finish it out.

Nice build. I particularly like the bear print cap piece on the fighting butt. Where did it come from and how was it installed?

Dunfly thats a little trick that doesnt cost much at all. All it is is a pewter coat button from the local sewing store (Joann Fabrics) that coat about $3.99 for a card with 2 of them on it. then you just put some epoxy on the back of the button and press it into the hole in the cork on the butt and thats it;)
Neat thing is they have all different styles to pick from. Bear claws, cat claws, American flag, Indian heads. Theres some pretty neat looking ones out there. Hardest part is being a single guy and going into a Fabric store:oops:…just act lost and its a good way to meet chick in the process:DLOL
