A simple question for a simple question. Why would a fisherman risk breaking the trust of friends by lying about his catch?
A modest angler might under-describe the events that took place. Is that a lie?

Oh yeah, Caught a few good ones…Lost a few better ones…The slop’s gettin pushed up into the best part of the lake…well in the wadeable part anywho…Gotta spend tomorrow eve at the vise to devise just the right fly for this stuff…
