I agree. Fly angling is a craft to me. A fun craft but still a craft. It is not so much a sport to me since the word sport implies competition and many of us are not competition driven when we fly fish (although some sports are not competitive so it may be considered a sport). Fly tying is an art. But neither is a science. Entomology is a branch science and to a certain degree, fly anglers may be amateur entomologists. But this is just my take on it. Others may have other ideas. ![]()
