Been putting this one off for a while because I thought it was going to be a real pain; turned out to be pretty straightforward (although until I get a decent gallows setup, the hackling process will continue to slow me down). Tied here as a green drake; change colors to suit your needs.
Name becomes self evident when you view a frontal shot

hook - Mustad 94840 #10
thread - Danville 6/0 olive
tail - marabou olive
abdomen - dubbing olive
ribbing - Danville flat wax (doubled/twisted) brown/olive
wing/wingpad - deer hair black
post - Congo Hair (twisted) olive
hackle - olive grizzly
thorax - dubbing olive

Part 1

mash barb, start thread

measure marabou (shank length), tie in; tie in ribbing

dub thread, dub abdomen

twist ribbing, wrap forward and tie off

Part 2

clean, stack, measure (hook length) a clump of deer hair; tie in (a few wraps in front to set wing angle), wrap back to abdomen and trim butt

tie in a few CH fibers (looped); tie in hackle

wrap hackle up post (length of thorax) and back down; tie off at base

dub thorax; divide wing with a few wraps between

pull hackle over thorax and between wings

tie off at eye, trim, half hitch x 2, SHHAN

semi-ventral
