Recently I have had email notifications that I had PM’s, but when I flipped over to FAOL, there was nothing in the message center.

OK … so the question. Was there really mail and something sparked a snaffu? Was it a false positive, and nothing was actually there? (OK … that’s two questions, but whose’s counting!?!)

So to those who have PM’d me, and have heard nothing back, please let me know! I would not NOT answer you! I just so hope it wasn’t the notification on the drawing for this month!! :shock:

I’m confused. I have received many PM’s since the
changeover. Each time it has been indicated by a
popup when I come to FAOL. I have never received an
email to the effect that I have a PM on FAOL. I was
not aware of such a service. Warm regards, Jim

I receive email alerts telling me I have a private message and they are always there. If I’m logged in!

I think the new Private messages thingy is the coolest thing Ive seen sents Miss Linda Sue slid the full length of the packing room floor on a block ice, singing Blue berry hill. Poor thing never was full right after the mule kicked her that time. But gosh darn it, she sure did keep everybodys morals up.

The option to receive email notification of PM’s can be selected in your “Profile” settings.

I’ve gotten my PM’s with no known problems. It’s becoming one of my favorite features.

I also am alerted via email & have had no problems. Did you get it fixed?

I am getting the something. E Mail that I have a message with a link to the PM board. but nothing there???

Are you sure you didn’t receive a notification that someone replied to a thread you posted in? I was getting those for a while, but eventually found a way to make them stop.

I have never had a problem with the PM UNTIL yesterday. I received an email (as always) that I had a new PM (10/10/06), but there is nothing in my messages more recent than 10/6. Now I am also confused, & concerned that someone is awaiting a response from me that they won’t receive.
Any thoughts re what the problem may be?

Can someone “un-send” a message that may have already cleared the email notification?
