Quaker Swap Photos

Hey, folks. Sorry to take so long to get these up. Here are the photos from the Quaker Swap. All flies were tied using tail feathers that were naturally molted by my pet, Toby. It took Toby 2 years to make these feathers and he presented us with a heck of a challenge. You’ll notice my two failed attempts with questionmarks at the bottom of the image. I loved hosting this one. Thanks for tying and thanks for looking!

…fly tying is the next best thing to fishing; it is the sort of licking of the lips that eases a thirsty man in the desert

Sorry I did not get my flies toe tagged for this swap…and I think they will be best used as,and were intended for use as a leafhopper pattern…the colors were good and size 20’s seemed a good choice !

Ty Diane For a great swap !

Diane Thanks for posting the pictures. I got a couple of ideas and I think that my friend who raises quakers will enjoy seeing them too.

Neat flies and a cool swap. BTW, thanks, too, for the inspiration. We did a wild turkey swap based on Toby’s muse. I’ll have to learn about posting the pictures somehow. JGW
