I can hardly wait! I bought two Hobie Mirage Outbacks for the family. I found an amazing deal(i think) on craigs list. Two 2010 outbacks with fish finders, and various other accessories along with a custom built trailer with galvanized 13" rims for $4k. It was more then I wanted to spend, but my wife stopped at a kayak store with me and what do you know, she said, “that looks like fun”. she is the best. I pick them up next Friday.

I’m in a similar situation. We’re currently headed down to the Keys, and She Who Must Be Obeyed said she wanted to try kayaking while there, and might want to get yaks when we get back home. I’m thinking either about the Native Ultimates, OK Tridents, or WS Tarpons - all of which are locally available.
Hopefully I can find a place in the Keys to try out at least one of them.
