I’m going to be in the Naples area in early March, and I’d like to do some C&R flyfishing for bluegills. Any recommendations regarding access, location, etc.?
Thanks,
J

Not in Naples but I know of a few spots (public bank access) in Port Charlotte and Punta Gorda.

Jimmy,
I don’t know of any right in Naples but if you check out [url=http://www.myfwc.com:66fce]www.myfwc.com[/url:66fce] there should be some listings there. If you head down towards Everglades City there are cannals along the road that are loaded with bream, bass, and oscars.
You might also check out the Everglades City Chamber of commerce or any of the small bait and tackle shops in Everglades City.
There is also a place in Everglades City that rents canoes for day trips which allows for fishing along the way.
Hope that helps,

Thanks Robert, that does seem a little more fisherperson friendly. I’ll have to start using this one myself.
