Problems w/For Sale & Things Wanted?

When I go to the For Sale or Things Wanted forums I get this message;

There have been no posts in the last 1 days in this forum.
Try using the controls below to search for any older posts that may exist.

When I go to the controls and set them to Last Post Time, Last Month and Descending, it works. But, when I leave and come back later I have to reconfigure all over again. What am I doing wrong? Or is there a glitch in the system that won’t allow my control settings to be the default.

Thanks for any help!

Dear Lotech,

You ain’t any lower tech than me and I’m having the same difficulty. It worked fine for a couple of days but now I have to reconfigure on each visit the same as you do to see any older posts.

Avalon

I think that the one day thing is the forum default for those sections. If you want to change them permanently go the control panel, then options and change it there.

Hope this helps,

Kevin

Chucker is correct. Go “edit options” then “thread cut off”

Dear Jerry,

I’m sorry but that doesn’t work for the for sale section, at least not for me?

On this section of the board the last post made was in the “FOTW” thread and that is at the top of board. Threads are listed in order of most recent activity and the posts in those threads are displayed from first made to last made in that order.

On the “For Sale” board the last post made was about a Winston Perfect and the first thread displayed is about St. Croix Rods for sale from 12/13? I haven’t figured out how to change that no matter how much fiddling I do?

EDITED TO SAY - Making this post moved this thread to the top of the board, just as I expected it to do.

Best Wishes,
Avalon

Go to “thread display mode” and select “linear-newest first”

Not working for me either. :frowning:

No help from Admin huh? I know it’s the holidays and you have better things to do, but my frustration is getting overwhelming. So, please spend time with your families before you spend time with me.

OK, here’s the fix:
-User CP
-Edit options
-Thread Display options
-Default Thread age cut off-here I click (show all)
-Save changes

Thanks Ray,
Did that. Didn’t work.
I quit.
