I fully agree! Nice series of pale red flies. That tropical shell colour is a great one.

I’ve seen a steelhead pattern called a “pink lady” I think, which is tied similar to a Royal Coachman but with a pink band, uh pale red instead of dark red band. There are some other differences as well (white tail, osterich herl instead of peacock, etc), but the overall profile compares nicely.
For a number of reasons my wife is big on pink… She has a Sage Casting For Recovery rod and Ross Casting For a Cure reel… as well as a second Ross CFC, all pink… So I take the time to tie a bunch of pink variations on all sorts of flies for her on a regular basis… They are very effective…
I have no issues with touching that other side thing!

The section on Pink flies got me interested enough to do a Pink fly swap. I have fished a pink fly in the past for Steelhead in NY and they did work great. For those of you that want to tie some the swap is open to all. Sorry for this shameless plug for the swap. John
