Predato Nymph

I like to tye simple but effective patterns that are also durable. I did not originate this pattern. It was designed by a man named Curtis Kauer over on the Bluegill Bug Tyers page on Facebook. Curtis did not give it a name, so I did just to make it easier for people to refer to if they have any questions. That said, it is a simple but very effective pattern that looks very buggy and the fish like it. While I only fish warmwater now, I strongly suspect that this pattern would also work well for trout. I tie them on size 10 hooks with a bead head to give it a nice slow sink rate. I tie in a piece of silicon leg material for the “tails” , then tie in the Predator worm material in front of the tails. Wrap the thread up to the eye of the hook and pull the Predator Worm materail back over like a scud back and tie it off at the eye. I like to add a drop of super glue on the thread base to stick the backing material on and give it more durablitiy, Just thought I’d share this with members here who may not be on the Facebook page.
