Eric (Nighthawk) and Amy must take their boy Gary to Milton S. Hershey/Penn State Medical Center in the morning for surgery to remove a growth from under his scalp. I am told that they fear it is a return of his childhood cancer he had removed a some years back. That form of cancer was rare even for Gary at age 19 let alone now at age 27. Time flies as you all pulled for Gary back then. Eric says he is too busy to register and post himself so I am doing it for them but he will appreciate any prayers, well wishes or thoughts fro you all.
They missed their 4t of July fireworks but Eric says if all goes well they might get a chance to blow up the back yard tonight. He is trying to provide Amy and Gary with a few minutes of something fun to do. My prayers are with them. I can tell you from personal experience as a parent watching a child of your own fight cancer is heart wrenching to say the least.
I grieve and pray when bad things happen to one of us. I triple that when it comes to one of our children.
I’ve been there. Nighthawk, if you go out in to your backyard after dark, look up at the sky, and literally feel yourself being given support, know that my prayers are included in that support.
Of course. My prayers as well. Eric, you and your family are always in my thoughts, and I pray that the Lord bless you all and touch you and yours with His healing hand.
Prayers from down under! Eric is always one of the first to offer help and prayers when needed.
I hope and pray that Gary makes a fast recovery!
All the best.
Mike
